TIME.CO, Jakarta – Video sharing platform Youtube announced some tools new AI-powered technology for content creators at the annual “Made on YouTube” event. Features that will be available in the coming months include AI-generated photo and video backgrounds, AI-generated video topic suggestions, and music search.

1. Dream Screen
This is a new generative AI feature for YouTube Shorts that allows content creators to add AI-generated video backgrounds or images to their Shorts videos simply by typing an idea in a message. With Dream Screen, creators can create new settings for their Short videos.
2. YouTube Create

To help users create and share videos directly on YouTube. The platform has launched a new mobile app called YouTube Create. It is claimed to be designed to provide content creators with a suite of production tools to edit short films, longer videos, or both.
The app offers video editing tools including precision editing and cropping, automatic captions, voiceover, and access to a library of filters, effects, transitions, and royalty-free music with beat-matching technology so that creators content can produce their next YouTube video without relying on complicated editing software.
YouTube claims to have consulted more than 3,000 creator content in the creation process of YouTube Create. The app is still in beta in select countries including the US, Germany, France, the UK, India, India, Korea and Singapore. YouTube Create is said to be free.
