Jakarta (MidLand) – X has launched a new version of the Community feature, which allows users to network around topics of interest, each with its own space and timeline.
According to the post TechCrunchThe company announced a series of changes to Community on Thursday, including improvements to discovery tools, recommendations, search and sorting options.
The broader goal of the update is to connect more X users with other people, where they can create posts on specific topics and comment on other people’s posts.
The community is an important part of the effort to make X, formerly Twitter, a more valuable company in terms of the data it offers.
This social platform owned by Elon Musk has a relationship with his artificial intelligence company, xAI, and chatbots xAI’s Grok has access to the data real time X, or what was previously known as a tweet.
However, with Community X, companies can create something as valuable as Twitter.
Ideally, Communities could become a source of information that rivals Reddit, whose data is now available only to those who pay, earning millions of dollars.
After the feature update, X users can discover posts from new trending communities directly from form Explore in that section.
X will also start showing community recommendations to users in their timelines, which is another big push to help this feature gain more attention.
Additionally, Communities will be easier to find because they can be searched by topic.

Once people join a community, they will be able to sort posts by trends in the community they joined based on company descriptions in posts in the community account.
The company said Community will also add community analytics for moderators, Community Spaces (X’s live audio product), and better moderation tools.
If X can get more users to join and post in the Community, there will be an increase in the amount of data provided to Grok, which will be beneficial to both
X already offers access to chatbots Grok for its paying customers and xAI gets wide distribution for Grok via X.
