X features Hide Likes feature for paid users: Okezone techno

JAKARTA – In early August, X offered paying users the ability to hide their blue checkmarks. After taking control of Twitter, Elon Musk has provided many new discoveries that have attracted public attention.

Now X, or what was previously known as Twitter, is set to launch a new feature where blue Twitter customers can hide the Likes tab at the bottom of their profile. This update feature was added by Musk to follow the steps of his competing platforms, namely Threads and Bluesky in recent weeks.

Through Techcrunchon Thursday (8/31/2023), the feature description states that the Like tab on the profile page will only be visible to the user themselves, as well as when liking a post will also be hidden.

Some users might feel embarrassed if other people could see what they liked or even didn’t want people tracking their activities to know.

However, if you need to like a post, it seems too complicated if you have too many posts that you like. Therefore, this option will be the best choice for paid users in the future.

Previously, Elon also wanted the display of news shared on X to be more concise. According to him the news display will appear only in the form of photos and links.

However, this time whoever uploaded the news has to write the narration manually. So it’s not like before, where linking to the news made a rather long initial narrative appear.

Elon Musk has a lot of ambitions in making his social media platform multifunctional. He also admitted that he would introduce a job posting feature on X and said that the job search service is quite interesting compared to other competitors, namely LinkedIn. (Taja Aurora Bianca)
