Whatsapp users will be able to make group calls of up to 31 people: Okezone techno
JAKARTA – Whatsapp will introduce a new feature that will allow users to make group calls with a maximum capacity of 31 participants, which is double the previous number of 15 participants.
Additionally, WhatsApp will also roll out the Channels feature globally, providing users with a private way to receive updates from organizations and individuals within the WhatsApp community.
Reported by the site WAbetainfoOn Monday (18/9/2023), WhatsApp launched a feature to start group calls with up to 31 participants along with some small improvements to the calls tab. This feature, available to Android beta testers, is accessible in update version 2.23.19.16
Initially, WhatsApp allowed users to initiate group calls with up to 15 participants, a significant increase from the previous limit of just 7 people. But now WhatsApp has increased this limit to 31 people.
The report also suggests that WhatsApp is adding some small changes to the calling tab. Specifically, the call link no longer appears on this screen, which now simply indicates that it is possible to call one or more contacts. Additionally, the hover action button has been updated with a plus icon.
