WhatsApp beta for Android tests privacy controls on status updates
Jakarta (MidLand) – WhatsApp beta for iOS 24.10.10.75, updated last month, added something to appear which allows users to easily change status update privacy settings before uploading new updates.
According to Gsmarena on Tuesday (6/11), the beta version of WhatsApp for Android 2.24.12.27 has currently been launched with the same features.
If nothing else, it remembers the state of privacy settings so that users don’t forget to change them.

And if you need to change it, users won’t have to go into settings to do so, making them more aware of who will see their updates.
If users are using the beta channel, they may have seen this feature. If not, this will be rolled out to more testers in the next few days.
It is known that in 2017, WhatsApp launched the Status feature, which allows users to upload texts, emojis, photos and more that can be seen by their contacts for 24 hours.
However, not necessarily all contacts from Status Privacy setting allows users to choose between status updates that can be seen by all contacts, only some contacts, or all but some contacts.
