“In the future we must continue to focus on improving quality, especially internal quality. Andalas University must be better known for the achievements of its students and the work of its faculty,” said Chancellor Unand Yuliandri in Padang, Tuesday 3 October 2023.

Beyond that, this also includes increasing the skills of teaching staff in the university environment. The Rector believes that if all these efforts are carried out consistently, the dream of making UNAND a world-class university can be realized. “God willing, our dream of becoming a world-class university can be realized,” Yuliandri said.

Chancellor Yuliandri emphasized that the international recognition achieved by the oldest university outside Java is the result of commitment and dedication in implementing the tridharma of higher education.

In line with this, Andalas University Task Force Chairman Dr. Muhammad Makky said that there was an increase in the industrial income assessment indicator from 43.4% (in 2023) to 67.6 % (in 2024).

According to him, there is a difference in the assessment between THE WUR 2023 and 2024, where in 2023 the industrial income assessment component will consist of industrial income for academic staff only. “Meanwhile, for 2024 the assessment of industrial income will change to industry, which consists of two assessment components, namely industrial income and patents.

Furthermore, when considering the components of THE WUR assessment for 2024, Unand’s industrial income has seen a significant increase. However, if you look closely, there is a slight difference in the valuation between 2023 and 2024.
