TIME.CO, Jakarta – Indonesian International Islamic University (VIII) officially opened the study program climate change OR climate change This year. Master’s courses in the social sciences have begun.
“Teaching staff already exists, in addition to Indonesia, also from several countries, including Australia,” UIII Chancellor Komarudin Hidayat told Depok, Wednesday, September 27, 2023.
According to Komarudin, It is hoped that the opening of the climate change curriculum will contribute to the protection and maintenance of ecology in the country. Furthermore, Indonesia is the lungs of the world that ensures ecological balance.
“But unfortunately, Indonesia is labeled as a polluting country and does not care about the environment,” Komarudin said.
With this curriculum, hopefully that too UIII can contribute to the vast oceans and abundant forests to provide a model for maintaining and maintaining a good ecology.
According to the UIII page, there are a number of subject areas in this study program, namely:

1. Students will learn analytical skills from various fields such as economic analysis, statistics and applied analysis to develop solutions to overcome the problems of climate change and related policies
2. Students will develop critical thinking in exploring sustainable development policies in an interdisciplinary way and in communicating with specialists and non-specialists
3. Students will develop their skills in formulating policies regarding climate change using appropriate methods in data collection and analysis.
Some of the courses studied include climate change science, climate change public policy, climate change application methods, project creation, statistical analysis, and others.
