JAKARTA – Kagendra and ABC Esports will compete for a ticket to the World Championship Call of Duty: Mobile (CODM) The 2023 World Championship will take place in Atlanta, USA, later this year.

Both will showcase themselves at the Garena Regional Qualifier event from September 19 to October 1, 2023. They will face tough competition from 10 other teams from the Philippines, Singapore, Taiwan, and Thailand to compete for the final 2 spots.

Previously, Kagendra qualified for the Garena Regional Qualifier with the champion status of Garena CODM Major Series 9. Meanwhile, ABC Esports participated with the runner-up status last season.

Kagendra and ABC Esports’ journey will begin from the group stage round which will take place from September 19 to 24, 2023. In this round, Kagendra and ABC Esports are divided into two groups containing six teams. Kagendra and ABC Esports are in Group B with Four Suits Esports (Philippines), Omega Esports (Philippines), PowerHouse International (Singapore), and WDC.XENON (Thailand).

In the group stage round, matches will be played online with a single round-robin format in three modes, namely Hardpoint (first team to 250 points), Search and Destroy (first team to 7 points), Control (first team to 3 points). .

Each team will meet once during this round. In total, there will be 30 matches between 12 teams with five matches per day. Teams that successfully finish in the top three positions in Groups A and B will advance to the Playoff round.

Meanwhile, in the playoff round, if Kagendra and ABC Esports successfully qualify, they will again compete in a double-elimination format with a best-of-5 layout. With this layout, there will only be two teams competing in the playoff round. Grand Finals.

Unlike the playoff round, the Grand Finals are held in a Best of 7 format. The two teams that qualify for the Grand Finals on October 1, 2023 will represent the Garena region at the 2023 CODM World Championship in Atlanta, USA, next December.
