You can use the key combination “Shift + Command + 3” on a MacBook, this method consists of taking a screenshot of the entire screen on a MacBook, here’s how:

  • Select the part of the screen you want to screenshot
  • Press and hold Shift + Command + 3 at the same time until a screenshot thumbnail appears in the lower right corner of the screen
  • The screenshot results will be displayed directly as a thumbnail in the bottom right corner of the screen

  • Open the window or menu you want to take a screenshot of
  • Hold down Shift, Command, 4, and spacebar at the same time
  • The pointer will change to a camera icon. To cancel taking a screenshot, press the Esc (Escape) key.
