Criteria for applying for the Gates Cambridge Scholarship

Applicant registrants must meet established criteria, including:

1. Citizens of any country (outside the UK)
2. Register to take part in a program at the University of Cambridge, namely:
A. PhD (full-time or part-time)
B. MLitt (full time)
C. One-year university study (full-time), with some exceptions
3. Have academic excellence
4. Have reasons for choosing a specialization
5. Commit to helping others
6. Have a leadership spirit

However, there are a number of programs that are not eligible for the Gates Cambridge Scholarship, such as:


1. All university degrees such as BA (undergraduate degree) or affiliated BA (second BA)
2. Doctorate in Economics (BusD)
3. Master in Business (MBA)
4. Master in Finance (MFin)
6. MBBChir clinical studies
7. Degree in Medicine and Surgery (6 years, part-time)
8. Degree Course in Medicine (A101)
9. Part-time qualifications other than doctorate
10. Non-degree courses

How to apply for the Gates Cambridge Scholarship

Gates Cambridge Scholarship Registration is a portal with campus registration. Before registering there are several documents that need to be prepared namely:
1. GRADSAF Application Form (covers the Gates Cambridge Scholarship section)
2. Academic transcript
3. Two academic references
4. A personal reference (especially for the Gates Cambridge Scholarship)
5. Curriculum vitae or curriculum of the research proposal (for doctoral students)

Here are the steps to register for the Gates Cambridge Scholarship:

1. Scholarship applications can be made via the University of Cambridge postgraduate page.
2. Complete the Gates Cambridge Scholarship Program registration form. There is a Gates Cambridge Statement column on the form, potential applicants must enter approximately 500 words.
3. Complete a statement explaining your reasons for applying for the Gates Cambridge Scholarship and how potential applicants meet the four main criteria. Besides that, there is also a reference column that needs to be filled.
