The web version of Google Photos gets an update, here are the details
TIME.CO, Jakarta – Google Photos the web version is reportedly getting some updates. This comes after Android’s default Gallery app received a redesign for foldable and tablet devices.
This web gallery application has received new changes in the editor section 9to5Google. This update also includes some minor changes to the overall UI.
Google Photos now displays cards suggestions new contextual premiere with necessary options like Enhance, Warm and Cool. Google One subscribers will also see more features here including Portrait Light, Blur, Sky, Color, and HDR.
Then there’s the Aspect Ratio which has been updated to give users more choices. This feature gives users several aspect ratios to choose from, including Freestanding, Original, Square, 16:9 (9:16), 5:4 (4:5), 4:3 (3:4), and 3:2 ( 2:3). Previously this option was in a drop-down menu.
With a larger screen, all the editing controls appear at once from those previously grouped into Light, Color and Pop. However, the icon that accompanies this option looks similar to the Android version of the app.

Then there’s the Filters tab which was previously the top tab before the update. Not much has changed here. Users simply click on the available filters to apply to the photos.
The most important conclusion is that the web version of Google Photos also offers an almost similar set of features and options to the mobile version and this makes it even easier to use. The report claims that the latest editor in the web version of Photos is now available, and users will see a new popup that says “Try the new editor” when they open an image or photo.
