The students of Cairo Indonesian School were proud to receive a visit from officials from the Ministry of Education and Culture
Jakarta (MidLand) – The Indonesian Embassy in Cairo, Egypt, said that the students of Cairo Indonesian School (SIC) felt happy and proud to receive the visit of the Indonesian official from the Ministry of Education and Culture, Iwan Syahril.
According to a written statement from the Indonesian Embassy in Cairo received in Jakarta on Wednesday, the Director General of Early Childhood Education, Primary and Secondary Education of the Ministry of Education and Culture, Iwan Syahril, arrived in Cairo to participate in an event organized by UNESCO.
Iwan arrived in Cairo on Monday (13/5) and was welcomed by the Education and Culture Attaché of the Indonesian Embassy in Cairo, Abdul Muta’ali, and took time to visit the JIT.
During the visit, Iwan reminded SIC students to remain enthusiastic in pursuing knowledge even if they are not in Indonesia, and motivated SIC students to never get tired of studying.
Besides that, Iwan also praised the courage and determination of SIC students studying in a new environment.
The visit began with a performance of the Acehnese Saman dance, followed by remarks by the deputy head of mission (Deputy Head of Mission/DCM) Cairo.
After the speeches of the DCM of the Indonesian Embassy in Cairo, the event continued with a creative dance show Wonderland and concluded with a tapak Suci silat performance by SIC students.
The Indonesian Embassy in Cairo said that SIC students are increasingly enthusiastic about learning and taking on challenges because the visit of officials from the Ministry of Education and Culture was proof that they are supported and appreciated by the government.
