“Indonesian children are very active Internet users and are vulnerable to negative impacts of the Internet, such as cyber bullying, sextortion, fraud, mock, baby carepornography, exploitation and sexual abuse of minors online,” said Deputy for Special Child Protection at the Ministry of PPPA, Nahar, when contacted in Jakarta on Saturday.

According to Nahar, child protection in the online and digital realm must be a common concern, considering that the easy access that children get without supervision can have various consequences and children are vulnerable to becoming victims of crime. on line.

He added that protecting children in the online and digital realm is also a global and regional endeavor that requires collaboration from many parties, such as the ASEAN Regional Dialogue on Online Child Protection which has produced 10 recommendations to protect children in the online.

Nahar said: roadmap This is being prepared in the form of a Presidential Decree to provide clear and integrated directions, guidelines and mechanisms for all parties involved in the roadmap for the protection of minors in the online realm, including children, parents, teachers, healthcare professionals, Internet service providers, law enforcement officers and civil society organizations.

In addition to the Ministry of PPPA, related Ministries/Institutions were involved in the preparation roadmap protection of minors in the online world, including the Ministry of Communications and Informatics, the Ministry of Education, Culture, Research and Technology, the Ministry of Religion, the Ministry of Health, the Ministry of Social Affairs, l National Agency for Cybernetics and Cryptocurrency (BSSN) and the Financial Transactions Analysis and Reporting Center (PPATK).
