The realization of spending on local products by the Ministry of Transport exceeded the target
Jakarta (MidLand) – The Ministry of Transport (Kemenhub) said that the realization of spending on domestic products in 2023 exceeded the target, in line with efforts to support the growth of industry and micro, small and medium businesses (MSMEs).
“The spending realized on domestic products this year reached IDR 13.24 trillion or exceeded 54% of the set target. “Similarly, spending in the MSME sector reached IDR 3.84 trillion IDR, or exceeding 39% of the set target,” Transport Minister Budi Karya Sumadi said in Jakarta on Tuesday.
Opening the technical coordination meeting “Increasing the role of actors in the procurement of goods and services to support the use of domestic products and achieving responsible BMN governance within the Ministry of Transport”, the Minister of Transport stated that the His staff will continue to work to increase spending on domestic products in the transportation sector.
According to him, during the Covid-19 pandemic situation, the MSME sector has shown its strength to become a pillar of advocacy for community welfare.
Therefore, if its use increases, it will have an impact on reviving national economic growth.

The Minister of Transport also said that he will continue to improve the quality of procurement of government goods/services and management of state property (BMN) through various efforts.
These include the use of electronic catalogues, which can ensure certainty of technical specifications, be more efficient, measurable and increase accountability.
“The realization of transactions we have carried out this year through e-catalog procurement has reached 2.49 trillion rupees or 3,173 transactions. “The most important transactions involve the procurement and installation of road equipment, transportation services of road mass in urban areas (buy the service), as well as load-bearing concrete products,” he said.
Another effort made concerns the optimization of the use of BMN resources. It is hoped that this effort will increase the effectiveness and efficiency of the budget, so that the current APBN can be used for more priority programs.
Furthermore, the Ministry of Transport, through the BMN Procurement and Management Services Office, General Secretariat, also carried out a previous procurement procedure.

This is done so that the planned program can be completed on time and to prevent transportation services from being interrupted due to obstacles in the procurement process.
Through an advance procurement process, until November 1, 2023, the Ministry of Transport managed to realize 84.5% of the planned procurement packages, i.e. 1,515 procurement packages, with a maximum value of 11.95 trillion of rupees.
Through a program to increase the use of domestic products, the government aims to allocate 95% of public procurement of goods and services to domestic products.
This program is also included in the indicators for evaluating Bureaucratic Reform (RB) for government agencies.
