The provincial government of Central Kalimantan provides 13 motor boats to help fishermen in Katingan

The provincial government of Central Kalimantan (Kalteng) has provided 13 motor boats to help fishermen in the Katingan regency area.

Central Kalimantan Maritime and Fisheries Service (Dislutkan) chief Darliansjah in Palangka Raya on Friday said 13 motor boats were delivered to the fishing community in Jahanjang village, Kamipang district.

“This policy is the implementation of Governor Sugianto Sabran’s commitment to encourage greater fish production in Central Kalimantan,” he said.

The delivery of the 13 motor boats was made by Capture Fisheries production director Heriyana and received directly by the president of the Sumber Pambelum Syariah Lauk cooperative, Yanto.

This aid delivery activity was carried out after coordination with the head of Katingan Transport and Fisheries Service, Robby. This coordination is a form of development synergy in the maritime and fisheries sector of Central Kalimantan.

“We hope that fishermen who receive assistance in the form of motor boats can immediately use them for fishing activities,” he said.

Governor Sugianto Sabran, through the Central Kalimantan Maritime and Fisheries Service, has provided various assistance and support to economic operators in the maritime and fisheries sector.

Previously, in addition to this assistance to fishermen in Katingan, 13 motor boats were also provided to the fishing community of Pendang Village, Dusun Utara District, South Barito Regency, as well as support to other areas based on the needs of fishermen or fish farmers.
