The new suspect for tin corruption and weapons supplier Egianus reads yesterday

Jakarta (MidLand) – Several legal incidents were reported on Wednesday (21/2) by MidLand news agency, starting from the Indonesian Attorney General’s Office naming two new suspects in the PT Timah Tbk alleged corruption case to the arrest of the supplier of firearms and ammunition to the Egianus Kogoya group.

1. The Attorney General’s Office has again named two new suspects in the pond corruption case

Investigators of the Deputy Attorney General for Special Crimes at the Attorney General’s Office, who are intensively investigating cases of alleged corruption in the tin trading system in the PT Timah Tbk Mining Business License (IUP) area from 2015 to 2022, they again named two new suspects.

The director of Jampidsus investigations at the Prosecutor General’s Office Kuntadi said that the two new suspects were from the private sector, namely SP (Suparta) as chief director of PT RBT and RA (Reza Andriansyah) as director of development of PT RBT.

“Based on the results of the examination of these two witnesses in relation to the statements of other witnesses and other evidence, the investigation team concluded that both of them had sufficient evidence and were subsequently promoted to the status of suspect,” Kuntadi told the Prosecutor . 3. The head of the Malra police criminal investigation unit was injured by an arrow while surveying the clash

Head of the Criminal Investigation Unit of the South East Maluku Police (Malra) AKP Wido Dwi Arifiya Zaen was injured while shielding clashes between residents in front of the Terra Shop, Regional Government Housing Complex, Malra Regency, on Tuesday evening (20/2), and is now being treated at the Karel Sadsuitubun Regional Hospital.

“AKP Wido was injured by an arrow in the head while trying to stop two groups of youths who were attacking each other from the Ohoijang Lampu Merah camp with the regional government camp,” the Malra police chief said on Wednesday AKBP Frans Duma, Ambon.

4. A fugitive Japanese national from the National Police was arrested in Batam

The Class I Special Immigration Bureau of the TPI Batam, Riau Islands, revealed that a Japanese national with the initials YY, wanted by the International Relations Division of the National Police (Divhubinter), was arrested in the Batam City area.

Kakanwil Kemenkumham Riau Islands I Nyoman Gede Surya Mataram in Batam, said on Wednesday that YY was declared a fugitive because he was involved in a fraud case in his home country.

Besides that, he explained that YY was in Indonesia since April 2, 2021 via Soekarno Hatta International Airport and was arrested on January 31, 2024 while he was about to sail from Batam to Malaysia.

5. DC Public Relations: KKB, Egianus’ arms supplier, arrested in Timika

Head of the Cartenz AKBP Peace Public Relations Task Force Bayu Suseno admitted that KKB member Epson Nirigi, who was a supplier of firearms and ammunition to the Egianus Kogoya group, was arrested.

Epson Nirigi was arrested by Salasa (22/2) while observing the counting of votes carried out by PPD Jita in Timika, Mimika Regency, Central Papua.

“The arrest was made because the person concerned was involved in various cases, so he was included in the DPO of the Nduga police,” Bayu said.
