Jakarta (MidLand) – The Ministry of Communications and Information (Kemenkominfo) together with Google Indonesia announced that 2,500 scholarships are planned Google Career Certificates which is here to empower the community to develop their digital skills through the Digital Talent Scholarship (DTS) initiative.
The hope is that with this scholarship, more digital talents will be absorbed into the industry based on the knowledge gained after gaining knowledge and certifications from Google through this program.
“Currently the need for digital talent is still very high. By 2030, Indonesia will need 9 million digital talents, or around 600,000 people every year. Google Career Certificates “What graduates of the DTS program will obtain can be a bridge to better career opportunities,” the head of the BPSDM Professional Development and Certification Center of the Ministry of Communication and Information, Hedi M. Idris, said in his statement on Thursday .

Through DTS 2024 batch 2, there are four specializations in digital skills divided into two types of training programs.
The first program is the Fresh Graduate Academy (FGA), in which participants with professional school backgrounds, D3, D4 and S1 graduates, as well as final year students can participate.
Participants can choose a specialization in digital skills, viz IT support OR Data analysis.
Then there is the Professional Academy (PROA) program which is available to participants from professional backgrounds who currently work or have worked previously.

In PROA, participants can choose a skill specialization in the form of User experience design OR Project management.

From 2018 to 2023, it is recorded that the Ministry of Communications and Information together with Google have provided a total of 17,000 certifications through the Digital Talent Scholarship (DTS).
It hopes that continued cooperation in 2024 will provide benefits to participants and can also be a response to the national digital transformation.

“Developed by Google experts and verified by renowned companies and industry partners. “We hope that the modules and training provided can provide practical knowledge in line with current industry needs,” Putri said.
For those interested, the deadline for registering for FGA training will expire on April 18, 2024, while for PROA training it will expire on April 21, 2024.
All the training lot 2 will be conducted online from May to July 2024 using modules in Indonesian.
