Mataram (MidLand) – The health service in Mataram city, West Nusa Tenggara province, will collect around 2,000 children listed as having stunting, in a bid to validate the true number of stunting cases.

The latest data from the Mataram City Health Service (Dinkes) recorded that in January 2024, stunting cases were recorded in 8.61% or around 2,000 children under five years of age.

“But looking at the efforts and the provisional data, trace“We can aim for a reduction to 7 points,” he said.

For this reason, to consolidate the objective of the data, it is considered necessary to carry out a real validation by collecting 2,000 children indicated as suffering from growth retardation in an activity.

Therefore, in this activity, his party will involve the Indonesian Association of Doctors (IDI), the Indonesian Association of Midwives (IBI) and the Association of Nutritionists of Mataram City (Persagi).

In this way, it is hoped that cases of stunting in Mataram City can be recorded in real terms so that intervention efforts can be conducted in a more focused and targeted manner.
