Kulon Progo (MidLand) – The tourism office of Kulon Progo Regency, Yogyakarta Special Region, organizes a disabled farm trip to enable tourists with disabilities to experience and enjoy the tourist destinations of this region.
The head of the Kulon Progo tourist office, Joko Mursito, in Kulon Progo on Wednesday said the farm trip program for the disabled has been held regularly every year and this year was the fourth year.
“Disabled farm trips are a place or space for tourists with disabilities so that they can experience and enjoy the tourist destinations of Kulon Progo,” said Joko Mursito.

He said that through this disabled farm trip, inputs can be obtained from disabled people regarding the facilities in tourist destinations, especially to make them friendly to visit.
“This program is an evaluation forum for the Kulon Progo Tourism Department. We need their input on what should be done in tourist destinations to make them comfortable for people with disabilities,” he said.
Joko said the trip to the disabled farm was attended by 60 people with disabilities. They were divided into three groups based on their disability conditions.
While traveling and visiting destinations, they receive assistance from a team of experts. They can also experience how to enjoy tourism in Kulon Progo and its products.
“We work with third parties who understand people with disabilities,” Joko said.

Farmtrip Disability Coordinator Meyra Marianti said the development of tourist destinations in Kulon Progo has been very significant, especially in tourist destinations to make them friendly for people with disabilities.
“Only Kulon Progo is currently working hard to make tourist destinations accessible to people with disabilities,” he said.
