JAKARTA – Leaks related to Apple’s new smartphone are constantly circulating. Currently, there is even a leak from a well-known leaker, Mark Gurman, who claims that the iPhone 15 Pro will be the thinnest bezel smartphone.
As compiled by 9To5Mac on Saturday (5/8/2023), the bezel of the iPhone 15 Pro will shrink by more than 30% compared to the previous generation. iPhone 15 Pro and Pro Max will have a record-breaking 1.5mm bezel.
Thanks to the adoption of LIPO (low pressure injection overmolding), Apple has been able to drastically reduce the bezel size of its smartphones. This technology is the same used in the Apple Watch Series 7, which makes the bezels thinner.
Compared to its predecessor, the iPhone 15 Pro is even smaller in size. Unfortunately, it looks like Dynamic Island will keep the same size this year and with slimmer bezels, meaning it will stand out even more.
The most drastic comparisons appear when comparing the iPhone 15 Pro series with previous models, such as the X, XS and 11 Pro, which looked very futuristic for the time. This iPhone 15 Pro looks like a significant upgrade.
Rumors also suggest that the new line of iPhones will most likely come with a USB-C port instead of Apple’s Lightning port. This is inseparable from European Union regulations that encourage the use of USB-C for all smartphone devices.
As additional information, the same range of iPhone 15 will be launched on September 13th. Pre-orders are expected to begin on Friday, September 15, with the official launch a week later on September 22.
