The Innovation 2024 women’s empowerment program has been officially launched
Jakarta (MidLand) – The General Directorate of Vocational Education (Dirjen Vokasi) of the Indonesian Ministry of Education, Culture, Research and Technology (Kemendikbudristek) together with Markoding, the Dian Sastrowardoyo Foundation and Magnifique Indonesia have launched the empowerment Women’s Innovation 2024 in Kuningan area, south Jakarta, on Wednesday.
“Women Innovation teaches material that adapts to children’s needs to meet the challenges of technological developments and future employment trends,” said Director General of Vocational Education (Dirjen Vokasi) of the Ministry of Education, Culture, Research and Technology (Kemendikbudristek), Kiki Yuliati.
He added that with this program it is hoped that it will encourage students to be able to choose based on their passion, even when they want to study STEM fields.”

Through this collaboration, the Women Innovation 2024 program wants to offer as many opportunities as possible to women from different professional education backgrounds.
Subsequently, selected participants will receive digital skills training relevant to current needs, while preparing a workforce capable of competing globally.
“Through this partnership, Perempuan Innovation wants to provide more opportunities for women who are currently or have undergone vocational education to get involved in digital skills training and realize their dreams,” said Amanda Simandjuntak, co-founder and CEO of Markoding.
By 2023, more than 20,000 women and adolescents will have received gender equality education and training in basic digital skills from the Women in Innovation programme.
Not only that, Women Innovation also made 138 Digital Bootcamp scholarships available to participants. To date, more than 800 innovations have been created by Women Inobation program participants to solve gender-based issues.
“Innovative women may be better equipped to face challenges and competition nationally and globally to find a job or start their own business,” said Dian Sastrowardoyo as founder of the Dian Sastrowardoyo Foundation.
To take part in the Women’s Innovation program, potential participants can register as participants from March 27, 2024 to May 17, 2024.
Registration for this program is open to women aged 12 years and above who are students (SMP/MT, SMA/MA/SMK, PKBM, LKP), students (academic/professional), professionals or those seeking of work.
After the selection of participants, the Women in Innovation program will begin with Basic Coding and UI/UX Design lessons on May 21-31, 2024. Subsequently, the program will continue with a Digital Bootcamp in July-November 2024.
