Jakarta (MidLand) – The Government of the Thousand Islands Regency, together with related parties, immediately repaired the roof of the Love Bridge on Tidung Island, which collapsed on Sunday due to strong winds in the area.
“The roof of this pier collapsed due to a tornado. It is still being maintained by a third party,” said Regent Junaedi of Seribu Islands in Jakarta.
He said the Love Bridge renovations used the Regional Revenue and Expenditure Budget (APBD). “The renovation of the Love Bridge is included in the Thousand Islands Regional Strategic Activities (KSD),” said Junaedi
The bridge connecting Tidung Besar Island with Tidung Kecil Island is being constructed by Technical Work Unit 2 of Seribu Islands Regency.
The Love Bridge is equipped with gazebo, fountain (water dance) which is one of the attractions for tourists visiting Seribu Islands
“The Love Bridge is a tourism icon for Tidung Island. It is hoped that it will increase tourist visits on holiday,” he said.
