The death toll from the fire and explosion at the LPG warehouse on Jalan Cargo II, Ubung Kaja village, North Denpasar on Sunday (9/6/2024) has increased to 11 people.
Director of the Medicine, Nursing and Support Area of the RSUP Prof. Ngoerah/Sanglah Denpasar, Dr. Affan Priyambodo, in his statement in Denpasar, Bali, on Friday, said the last two victims who died were Yolla Aldy Zoellyanto and M Umar Efendi.
According to patient data at RSUP Prof. Ngoerah/Sanglah Denpasar, Yolla Aldy Zoellyanto died on Friday (6/14) afternoon at 2.55pm WITA and Umar Efendi died at 10.45am WITA.
Affan said both died after undergoing intensive care at the burns unit of Prof. Ngoerah Hospital, Denpasar.
The patient, Yolla Aldy Zoellyanto, suffered 45.5% burns, while Umar Efendi suffered 71% burns.
“The condition of the patients currently under treatment is still critical with the help of breathing machines still going through the acute phase, i.e. fluid resuscitation and also improvement of the patient’s general condition,” he said.
According to Affan’s statement, all remaining patients are being treated at the Burns Unit with follow-up plans to continue to improve their overall condition and wound care.
“The majority of patient deaths occurred due to an acute phase or period of shock, not due to airway trauma. All patients are still waiting for the repairs and support we provide in the burn room,” he has declared.
Sanglah Hospital/Prof. Ngoerah itself initially received 17 patients due to the LPG warehouse fire in Denpasar. However, after some time, 10 of them died, leaving seven people. Meanwhile, another deceased patient is being treated at Wangaya Hospital in Denpasar, victim Katiran (62).
Therefore, the list of victims who died is:
1. Edy Herwanto (43), died on June 10, 2024 at 02:00 WITA.
2. Purwanto (43), died on 10 June 2024 at 1.45pm WITA.
3. Yudis Aldyanto (33), passed away on June 11, 2024 at 03:10 WITA.
4. Petrus Jewarut (31), died on June 11, 2024 at 9.30 pm WITA.
5. Robiaprianus Amput (23 years old), died on 12 June 2024 at 10.30 am.
6. Katiran (62), passed away on June 12, 2024 at 06:15 WITA.
7. Yoga Wahyu Pratama (24), died June 12, 2024 at 7:14 pm WITA.
8. Danu Sembara (36) died on Thursday (13/6) at 11.05pm WITA.
9. Budi Santoso (37) died on Friday (6/14) at 05:40 WITA.
10. Umar Efendi (33), died on Friday (14/6/2024) at 10.45am WITA.
11. Yolla Aldy Zoellyanto (25), died on Friday (14/6) at 2.55pm WITA.
Meanwhile, the victims who are still being treated in critical condition are:
1. Dicky Panca Ramadhani (19)
2. Suherminiades (47)
3.Muqhis Bayudi (29)
4. Wiri Sumardi (35)
5. Ahmad Tamyis (25)
6. Didik Suryanto (49)
7. Mohamad Sofyan (27)
Earlier, an LPG gas depot on Jalan Cargo Taman I, Banjar Uma Sari, Ubung Kaja village, North Denpasar, Denpasar City, reportedly caught fire on Sunday (9/6) around 06.10 WITA.
Bali regional police said at least 18 people were killed in the explosion, most of whom suffered severe burns.
