The Chinese AG600 seaplane successfully verified the initial water rescue

Beijing (MidLand) – The AG600 large-body amphibious aircraft, developed independently by China, has successfully completed initial verification tests for water rescue capabilities, it said Chinese aviation industry company (AVIC).

A technology demonstration of the AG600 aircraft was carried out at the end of April at the reservoir of Zhanghe Airport, which is also a seaplane airport in Jingmen, central China’s Hubei Province, to test the water rescue capabilities, said AVIC, China’s top aircraft manufacturer.

This step is critical for the AG600 large amphibious aircraft to be able to effectively meet demand from China’s emergency rescue system development program.

This progress also marks a new major breakthrough for the AG600 aircraft family and provides technological support for the further development of the search and rescue aircraft variant, the aircraft’s developer added.

China’s AG600 family of large amphibious aircraft is being developed as vital advanced aviation equipment to bolster China’s emergency rescue efforts.

This series of aircraft is designed to carry out rescue missions, such as firefighting and search and rescue on all types of terrain across the country.

The AG600 series seaplane has a unique configuration consisting of a fuselage-shaped upper body integrated with a ship-shaped lower body.
