The Chevening Scholarship is opening soon, here are the things you need to prepare

Be a citizen of one of over 160 Chevening-eligible countries or territories.

· Never studied in the UK on a UK Government funded scholarship.
· Demonstrate outstanding future leadership potential.
2. Build leadership experience
In the written application and interview stages, candidates will be asked to describe how they have demonstrated the potential to become leaders in their life and career. For this reason, it’s important to start creating examples now.

Candidates must be prepared to answer when they led a team or project, how they were successful in that situation, and what they learned. Then, provide the most powerful example that will make the best impression of the candidate’s leadership potential.
3. Think about plans for the next 2, 5 or 10 years
Applicants must develop a realistic plan over the next two, five or ten years to achieve their goal of creating positive change in their home country.
4. Start researching majors to take
When applying for a Chevening Scholarship, applicants will have the opportunity to choose from one to three courses of study. Chevening also provides guidance on choosing the right UK university and specialization on its website.
Applications to universities and majors are separate from applications for Chevening Scholarships. This means that applications for the Chevening Scholarships do not include applications for the intended university.
