“Sulteng Expo 2024 is not only about displaying superior regional products, but also a form of commitment to continue to develop and promote the rich and unlimited local potential of Central Sulawesi, so that it can be elevated to a higher level” , Central Sulawesi Deputy Governor Ma ‘mun Amir said in Palu on Thursday evening.
He said that the 2024 Central Sulawesi Expo with the theme “Downstreaming Major Sectors in the Land of 1,000 Megaliths, Central Sulawesi” aims to stimulate and motivate economic players to be able to optimize the sustainable processing of natural resources in Central Sulawesi, increasing added value and competitiveness supported by professional human resources (HR).
Through the Central Sulawesi Expo, the Deputy Governor said, Central Sulawesi province has a great opportunity to present to the outside world its natural riches with eight types of mines, unique cultural diversity and beautiful tourist destinations, as well as economic potential of various sectors in the districts and cities of this area, to attract investors.
Besides that, the 2024 Central Sulawesi Expo, which is also a friendly evening to celebrate the 60th birthday of Central Sulawesi Province, is combined with the activities of the National Movement (Gernas) Proudly Made in Indonesia (BBI) and Proud to Travel Indonesia (BBWI).
“We hope that the 2024 Central Sulawesi Expo can provide maximum results and have a positive impact on the development progress of the Country of 1,000 Megaliths, Central Sulawesi Province,” he also said.
To make the 2024 Central Sulawesi Expo a success, the provincial government of Central Sulawesi collaborated with the Regional Office of the Ministry of Law and Human Rights for Central Sulawesi and Bank Indonesia to also present Central Sulawesi Creative Works ( KKST), which was the culmination of the 2024 Central Sulawesi Expo. Chairman of the Central Sulawesi Expo 2024 Committee, M Sadly Lesnusa, said that the Central Sulawesi Expo was a means to publicize and promote the superior potential of Central Sulawesi, both domestically and internationally, in order to encourage investors to invest in this region.
“This event aims to promote and highlight the superior potential of the region, as well as the investment potential of Central Sulawesi province,” he said.
Therefore, he also invited the public to visit tourist attractions in Central Sulawesi and attend various music, dance and cultural arts performances in this area.
On that occasion, each of the 13 districts and cities, as well as regional apparatus organizations (OPDs) within the provincial government of Central Sulawesi, showcased and promoted various superior products and potentials of this region.
In addition to this, the Central Sulawesi Expo also features collateral activities, including a fashion show associated with Central Sulawesi dance and theater, various competitions, exhibitions of MSMEs and tourism excellence of each district, meetings of business and talk shows, as well as performances by artists from the capital.
