The Central Prosecutor’s Office in Jakarta destroys drugs and thousands of bottles of alcohol
Jakarta (MidLand) – The Central Jakarta District Prosecutor’s Office destroyed drug evidence and illegal drugs as well as thousands of bottles containing liquor in the Kemayoran area on Thursday to welcome the holy month of Ramadan and maintain security and safety. ‘public order.
The head of the Central Jakarta (Kenjari) District Prosecutor’s Office, Safriyanto, said the destroyed evidence was from hundreds of cases that occurred between 2023 and 2024.
“As for narcotics, it is certain that this case will occur in 2024. Because in drug cases, evidence must be destroyed immediately,” Safriyanto said in Jakarta on Thursday.
Safriyanto presented details of the destroyed evidence, including shabu weighing 8,197.6568 grams and ganja weighing 21,101.8446 grams.
Additionally, other evidence included 2,171 items of ecstasy, 1,208 items of synthetic tobacco, 996 items of illegal drugs, 1,208.3170 grams of synthetic tobacco and 7,906 items of drugs without a distribution permit.
“Then there were another 996 illegal drugs and 4,428 bottles of liquor,” he said.

Safriyanto said the destruction of evidence was not only the resolution of a case that had “inkrach” (execution of a decision that has permanent legal force), but is also an effort by all elements of society to fight drugs.
Destruction of evidence is done in several ways, namely using an incinerator to destroy evidence of narcotics and drugs without a distribution permit.
In addition to that, use incendiary equipment to destroy other evidence consisting of used clothing and other things, and use heavy equipment to destroy alcoholic beverage evidence.
This phase is carried out to ensure that these goods do not return to circulation causing harm to the community.
