Students at KJP Plus 10 in West Jakarta were dismissed after they were involved in a fight

Mostly fights

Jakarta (MidLand) – The Department of Education in West Jakarta has revealed that the Jakarta Shortcut Card (KJP) Plus for 10 students in the area will be revoked during 2023 because they were involved in or committed violence, especially fights.

“About 10 (students),” said the head of West Jakarta’s education sub-department (Sudindik).
Junaedi contacted on Monday in Jakarta.

Most of the acts of violence committed by the students involved were fights. “Mostly fights,” Junaedi said when contacted Monday in Jakarta.

Junaedi hopes that the removal of KJP Plus from 10 students during 2023 will be a lesson to other students not to get involved in similar things or other acts of violence.

“KJP has been waived for problem children. This is an important lesson so this doesn’t happen to other students,” he said.

According to Junaedi, the repeal of KJP Plus has also impacted other students, particularly reducing the number of fights. “And it really impacts other schools,” Junaedi said.

The West Jakarta Education Sub-Department has formed a student violence prevention and management (TPPK) team to anticipate violence occurring, especially among students.

Junaedi said the TPPK formed on Thursday (30/11) was basically an anti-violence task force (Satgas) in each school which was then appointed through a letter of appointment to become the TPPK.

“In general, TPPK is part of the anticipation of violence, as an effort by schools to pay attention so that there is no such thing as violence, whether verbal or nonverbal,” Junaedi said.

Junaedi continued, the formation of the TPPK is linked to the stabbing involving students from two schools in West Jakarta (Jakbar), specifically by two students from the Perti Islamic Vocational School against a student from the Trikora Vocational School.

“Actually, we have wanted to create the TPPK for a long time, but yesterday’s moment was not much different from the incident involving the two private vocational schools,” Junaedi said.
