South Sulawesi Provincial Government Becomes LKPP’s “Pilot Project” for Sustainable Procurement

Makassar (MidLand) – South Sulawesi province is one of the pilot projects o pilot project sustainable public procurement o Sustainable public procurement (SPP) by the Indonesian government for the procurement of goods/services (LKPP).
The provincial government of South Sulawesi was one of the provinces that received the invitation from the RI LKPP of five Indonesian provinces to participate in the launch Piloting AND Business correspondence Sustainable public procurement in Jakarta, Thursday.

South Sulawesi Acting Regional Secretary Andi Muhammad Arsjad, in his statement in Makassar on Thursday, hopes that stakeholders, especially regional apparatus organizations (OPDs) within the South Sulawesi provincial government, can support the implementation of this SPP pilot project.
“We should prioritize the procurement of goods/services towards environment-friendly products and regulatory support from the central government, so that the SPP initiated by LKPP RI since 2010 can be realized immediately,” he said.
At launch Piloting AND Business correspondence The ongoing public procurement in Jakarta was attended by the Acting Regional Secretary of South Sulawesi, Andi Muhammad Arsjad, accompanied by the Head of the Goods and Services Procurement Office of the South Sulawesi Regional Secretariat, A. Kasman Abidin.

It was said that LKPP worked with the Ministry of Environment and Forests to implement it pilot project sustainable public procurement in five regions, namely the provinces of East Kalimantan, South Kalimantan, South Sulawesi, East Java and Riau Islands.
PBJ South Sulawesi Bureau Chief Kasman Abidin added that this national launch will serve to inaugurate the SPP pilot project in Indonesia, as well as increase the government’s access to procure environmentally friendly/eco-labelled products with operators of the sector.
“Of course we should be proud, South Sulawesi is one of them pilot project LKPP for sustainable public procurement. “This also encourages the strengthening of the green and sustainable procurement ecosystem,” she said.
