South Jakarta City Government and Baznas-Bazis complete 96 renovations of uninhabitable houses
Jakarta (MidLand) – The administrative government of South Jakarta City (Pemkot Jaksel) in collaboration with Baznas-Bazis has repaired 96 uninhabitable housing units, out of a target of 160 houses by 2023.
“This is proof that the zakat, infaq and alms donated by the community have been used,” South Jakarta Administrative Mayor Munjirin said on Thursday after handing over house keys to recipients of the home renovation program in Jakarta.
Munjirin said that the home renovation program aims to help raise the living standards of disadvantaged residents in the South Jakarta area so that they can avoid all kinds of health problems, one of which is health problems.
“It’s not a question of income. If someone lives in an inadequate house, there will certainly be many problems, their health will clearly be compromised by inadequate ventilation,” he said.
He said the renovation of 160 houses is a program carried out together with Baznas-Bazis South Jakarta. This program is specifically for residents whose homes are uninhabitable.
“I’m sure 160 houses will be renovated this year and next year, hopefully, more uninhabitable houses will be renovated,” Munjirin said.
He asked the beneficiaries of home renovation to take care of the house for household activities so that there are no more disturbances.
“Now that the home can be lived in comfortably, safely and healthily, it must be well maintained,” he said.
South Jakarta Baznas-Bazis coordinator Yasdar added that of the 160 houses targeted, 96 houses will have been completed in 2023.
“We have received keys to all 64 houses, God willing, it will be 60% completed by the end of December,” Yasdar added.
Yasdar said the renovation of the uninhabitable house was thanks to the people muzakki-muzakki who believe in Baznas-Bazis South Jakarta.
“God willing, the more people give zakat, the more we can help with the renovation of houses to build a more advanced South Jakarta administrative city,” he said.
Suhaya (56), the beneficiary of a house renovation that had been completed, said she was happy after her house was repaired and became a comfortable place.
