Sony starts to spread its wings, Horizon Forbidden West coming to PC next year: Okezone techno

JAKARTA – Game Game station Horizon Forbidden West is confirmed to be coming to PC in early 2024. The PlayStation-exclusive game previously came with the help of in-house port developer Nixxes Software, which was acquired in 2021.

Sony has announced a “complete edition” of Horizon Forbidden West that will also be available on PS5 on October 5, 2023. For your information, the complete edition includes the base game, the Burning Shores expansion and other additional DLC as a digital art book and soundtrack.

Quoted from The limiton Thursday (9/28/2023), Sony also plans to launch half of its games on PC and mobile devices by 2025. Games like Horizon Forbidden West and Ratchet & Clank: Rift Apart are expected to increase Sony’s gaming footprint beyond simple PS4 and PS5 console.

Sony is also reportedly considering a launcher for PlayStation PC after references to it were spotted in Marvel’s Spider-Man Remastered for PC last year. Sony began using the PlayStation PC label for the first time in 2021, shortly after acquiring Nixxes.

Horizon Forbidden West itself is set six months after the end of Horizon Zero Dawn, with an impressive world full of snow-capped mountains and forest swamps to explore. The PC version will be available on Steam and the Epic Games Store.

In the first series, Horizon Zero Dawn, this game managed to tempt potential PS5 buyers several years ago. Apart from the eye-catching graphics, the plot of this game has also managed to gain praise from critics.

However, if you look at Sony’s move to launch some of their exclusive games on PC, this could be a sign that they are starting to take off in console competition in recent years.
