JAKARTA – Instagram is in the process of allowing users to create polls in their comments soon. Hopefully, the existence of this feature will encourage better interaction for content creators.

Instagram chief Adam Mosseri announced the trial on his TV channel, noting that these polls can be added to comments on Reels feeds and posts.

“New test notice. Do you have questions for your followers? We are starting a small test to add a poll or vote for one in the comments of a feed or a reel post,” Mosseri wrote on his television channel on Friday (10/20) . /2023).

Polls in the comments section will look the same as those in Stories, where they have been available to users for years in the form of stickers. Based on the screenshots shared by Mosseri, other users will be able to see how many people voted for a particular poll.

However, it’s unclear how long polls will remain open after they’re posted or whether users will have the option to choose between different time slots to continue receiving votes, as users can on X.

Instagram is also testing options to provide a more personalized Stories experience, building on its Close Friends feature, which allows users to create lists to save certain content for just a select few people.

With this feature, users will have the ability to manage and organize different group lists so that users don’t have to worry about adding people to their close friends list.
