Unlike previous games made by FromSoftware, such as Dark Soul 3the developer plans to release only one DLC for Elden Ring.
“The DLC is the first and the last, and we have no plans to add more content for Elden Ring,” Miyazaki said in an interview with Chinese publication Zhihu, quoted by IGN on Friday.
He said Elden Ring emphasizes exploration and adventure in one big world, and to present that kind of experience requires a very large and spacious set.
“Therefore, instead of dividing it into several parts, it is better to make one large (expansion). If (the game) is sold separately, the freedom of exploration and sense of adventure will be reduced,” Miyazaki said.

The shadow of the Erdtree will be released on June 21, 2024. Miyazaki does not rule out the possibility of releasing a full sequel in the future.
Miyazaki has said that FromSoftware deliberately designs open endings into games, and this is no exception Elden Ringso there is the possibility of making a sequel.
