SEOUL – Samsung announced the Samsung Galaxy S23 FE series on Wednesday (4/10/2023) alongside the Tab S9 FE and Buds FE. Interestingly, this flagship mobile phone is being sold at a cheaper price than the previously launched Galaxy S23 in the market.
Samsung offers a better main camera for the S23 FE series. The camera features a 50MP sensor, a 10MP, 123° ultrawide camera, and a telephoto lens (8MP, 3x). Additionally, the selfie camera drops to 10MP resolution after two generations of 32MP sensors on the FE model. This is what cannot equate the S23 FE to the S23 and S22.
“This new line of FE devices is packed with premium features, whether used alone or as part of a connected ecosystem, that allow Galaxy users to maximize their creativity and productivity,” said President and Head of Mobile eXperience Business, Samsung Electronics, TM Roh on its official website.
Samsung uses a 6.4-inch Dynamic AMOLED 2X flat panel with FHD+ resolution and a refresh rate of 60-120 Hz for the screen. This phone measures 158 x 76.5 x 8.2 mm and weighs 209 grams. The phone’s body and internal components are made of pre-consumer aluminum, glass, and post-consumer plastic (made from used fishing nets, water barrels, and PET bottles).
Interestingly, there is no uncertainty as to whether the S23 FE mobile phone will have a Snapdragon 8 Gen 1 or Exynos 2200 chip. On the official Samsung Indonesia page, they only write about a 4nm manufactured chipset that suits the market and the cellular operators in each country.
The long-lasting 4,500 mAh battery intuitively adjusts to save power, charging to 50% in just 30 minutes with a 25W adapter.
The Galaxy S23 FE series will be available starting October 5, 2023 and sold in Indonesia starting from IDR 9 million (128 GB) and IDR 10 million (256 GB). The two variants will be released in five colors, namely Mint, Cream, Graphite, Indigo and Purple. However, the indigo color is only available for direct purchase on the official Samsung website.
