Safe and fast, WhatsApp will support the use of Passkey: Okezone techno
JAKARTA – Whatsapp it will reportedly support using the passkey to replace the password. It is claimed that this step makes users more confident and comfortable in using them.
Previously there were many phishing cases due to the weak password system used. Therefore, passkey support is considered a solution to increase security.
In the beta version in circulation, WhatsApp users will be able to verify their data and access their accounts. This feature was also supported by Google Password Manager.
“Now you can use your fingerprint, face or screen lock to check if it’s you with a passkey,” WhatsApp wrote.
“Your passkey is securely stored in your Google Password Manager.” add this information.
On the password settings page, users can later enable a passkey to initiate identity verification. However, if you feel uncomfortable, the user can disable it and use the password method as usual.
