Tanjungpinang (MidLand) – Riau Islands (Kepri) Governor Ansar Ahmad has appointed Andri Rizal Siregar as acting mayor (Pj) of Tanjungpinang to replace Hasan.
The inauguration is based on the Decree of the Minister of Internal Affairs number 100.2.1.3-1125 of 2024 regarding the dismissal and appointment of the acting mayor of Tanjungpinang, Riau Islands Province.
“We hope that the newly appointed Acting Mayor can carry out his duties and mandate in the best possible way,” said Governor Ansar during the inauguration of Acting Mayor Andri Rizal Siregar at the Regional Building, Tanjungpinang City, Friday (5/31).
Besides that, Governor Ansar also advised the new mayor to be active on the ground to listen to the aspirations of the community and build a spirit of mutual cooperation, because currently the provincial government of Riau Islands is intensively arranging the face of the capital so that become more beautiful and become an attractive tourist destination for tourists to visit within or abroad.
“We want Tanjungpinang to become a major tourist attraction in the Riau Islands, so cooperation and synergy are needed to make this happen,” Ansar said.
Besides that, Ansar also thanked Tanjungpinang acting mayor Hasan, who was seen as capable of bringing about changes in Tanjungpinang, especially in the planning of Gurindam city.
“Appreciation to Mr. Hasan, we hope that his experience as acting mayor will ensure him more success in the future,” Ansar said.
Meanwhile, Acting Mayor Andri Rizal Siregar said he is ready to continue the work program of the previous mayor, such as mutual cooperation in organizing Tanjungpinang City.
He also admitted that he had received a special assignment from the Minister of Interior to ensure the success of the 2024 simultaneous regional elections, from the stages to the inauguration of the elected regional heads.
“Including ensuring that the administration continues to operate as usual,” he said.
Andri Rizal Siregar is also currently listed as Assistant III for General Administration of the Regional Secretariat of the Provincial Government of Riau Islands. He replaces Hasan, who was involved in a lawsuit related to alleged forgery of land documents when he was still head of East Bintan sub-district, Bintan Regency.
