JAKARTA – Apple is developing a smart ring that can control other sophisticated devices. This was leaked through a patent application recently filed by Apple.
Apple Insiders, on Wednesday (8/23/2023) said that the Cupertino, California, United States-based company had just received clearance from the Patent Institute in the United States regarding its patent application for the smart ring. The patent called Ring Input Device With Pressure-Sensitive Input shows several very unique innovations from Apple.
The magic ring will later be made to receive notifications and control several other user-owned smart devices. Subsequently, the inside of the ring will receive various notifications entering the magic ring.
On the other hand, the outer side of the ring will have several controls that will make it easier for the wearer to remotely access other devices.
“Electronic rings can be used as an inconspicuous and readily available everyday communications device to communicate wirelessly with other devices capable of receiving such communications,” Apple explained in the patent filing.
In the Apple patent further explains that the smart ring can not only be worn on the user’s finger, but can also be used as other accessories such as necklaces, earrings and bracelets.
