Reims forced PSG to swallow three consecutive draws in the French championship

Jakarta (MidLand) – Reims surprisingly forced Paris Saint-Germain (PSG) to swallow three consecutive draws after finishing the match with a score of 2-2 in the 25th week of the French championship at the Parc des Princes stadium in Paris on Sunday evening.

In the previous two matches of the French championship, PSG managed to score only two draws against Rennes and Monaco.

In this match, Reims stole the lead first through Marshall Munetsi, but PSG was able to turn it around thanks to Yunis Abdelhamid (gbd) and Goncalo Ramos.

This draw does not change the position of the two teams in the table where PSG is still at the top of the French championship with a score of 56 points in 25 games. Meanwhile, Reims occupies ninth position with a total of 35 points.

Statistically, PSG actually dominated the match recording 64% ball possession with a total of 18 shots, six of which were on target.

Even so, when the match lasted only seven minutes, Reims managed to take the lead first thanks to a goal scored by Marshall Munetsi.

Starting from a mistake by wing defender Achraf Hakimi, Oumar Diakate managed to send a pass to Munetsi and was able to turn it into a goal with his right-footed kick, so the score changed to 1-0.

Then, in the 17th minute, Hakimi managed to make up for the mistake he made earlier because his cross was not anticipated properly by Yunis Abdelhamid, so the ball entered the Reims goal and changed the score to 1-1.

Successfully equalizing, PSG managed to recover just two minutes after the first goal thanks to Goncalo Ramos’ strong left-footed shot, so the score changed to 2-1.

Going into the final minute of the first half, Reims managed to level the score at 2-2 thanks to Oumar Diakate’s right-footed shot following a pass from Emmanuel Agbadou.

Then in the second half PSG took the initiative to attack first and threaten with Ramos’ shot which however did not go on target.

Even though they played under pressure, Reims could pose a threat at times, one of which was through Agbadou’s header, still wide of the PSG goal.

In the rest of the match, PSG continued to attack Reims’ defense line, but until the final whistle the score was 2-2 for both teams.
