Ragnar Oratmangoen received a warm welcome when he returned to his hometown

Jakarta (MidLand) – Indonesian national team player Ragnar Oratmangoen was warmly welcomed when it was discovered that he had returned to his hometown in the Moluccas.

From information received by PSSI in Jakarta on Friday, the 26-year-old striker returned home after defending the Indonesian national team in two matches of the second round of the 2026 World Cup qualifiers in Zone F of the Asian Group at the Gelora Bung Karno main stadium. In the two matches, Ragnar always appeared from the first minutes to lead Indonesia to the third round for the first time in history, when they won 2-0 against the Philippines on Tuesday (6/11).

Ragnar was seen showing off his Instagram story in a green-walled house on Friday night at 9.35pm local time. In his story on Instagram you can also see the inhabitants of the area gathered on the terrace of the house.

They waved their hands and cheered “Oratmangoen, oratmangoen” when Ragnar made a video which he later uploaded to his Instagram story.

Born in Oss, Netherlands, on 21 January 1998, the FC Groningen striker officially became an Indonesian citizen (WNI) on 18 March after taking the Indonesian citizenship oath, completed at the Regional Office (Kanwil) of the Ministry of Law and Human Rights (Kemenkumham) DKI Jakarta, East Jakarta.

He has Indonesian blood from his paternal grandfather born in Larat, Maluku on 3 November 1925.
