Jakarta (MidLand) – Raditya Dika’s latest comedy series titled Comedy Chaos is all set to air on Netflix platform on February 16, 2024.
“We did some research and developed the main idea. We include episodes that I think could be entertaining and dramatic, written from Raditya Dika’s point of view. “Although the story of Comedy Chaos is not completely based on real events, there are realistic elements in it,” Raditya Dika said in her official statement on Tuesday in Jakarta.
Dika said the idea for the series came from her dream of wanting to have a comedy club. Unfortunately, since it hasn’t become a reality yet, he’s trying to make it happen by writing a series about the ins and outs, dynamics, and ups and downs of a comedy club.

After forming the main idea, he mapped out a detailed plot in which he involved fellow comedian Mo Sidik, who was the owner of Jakarta’s first and only comedy club called Ketawa. Comedy Club.
Besides showing the struggle to build a club, in this film Dika also talks about married life, a topic that has never been addressed before in a film or series made by him.
“During the writing process, the topics I incorporated into the scenario came from various personal concerns. “One of the things explored in Comedy Chaos is the dynamics of married life and its various challenges, but obviously it’s all packaged in a comedic way,” she said.
Dika continued with the series, this time bringing in famous actors and comics such as Joshua Suherman, Yono Bakrie, Pamela Bowie, Dodit Mulyanto and even Dion Wiyoko after going through a rather long cast selection process.
This is due to the importance of matching the character and the actor he will be playing.
“The results are very satisfying, every actor and comedian gave an extraordinary performance. “One of them is Dion, who will play a character called Sultan. The audience will see a completely different performance,” he said.
Dika himself will subsequently play the role of main actor and director who will direct the production of the series. He hopes to entertain audiences and learn more about the world of comedy from behind the stage.
