Professional teaching program, when experienced sellers share knowledge in schools

TIME.CO, Jakarta – Indonesian Association of Marketing Teachers (Agmari) launched the professional teaching program. This is an educational initiative aimed at providing insights and knowledge to students in the industry sales or marketing.

This program, led by Agmari, involved the Indonesian Association of Sales Directors (SDI) and the Indonesian Association of Sales Professionals (Komisi). The three associations are made up of commercial figures and trainers who are dedicated to advancing the world of Indonesian sales.

SDI, Commission and Agmari founders Dedy Budiman said the professional teaching program aims to inspire students by providing insight into the current sales and marketing landscape. “To open their eyes to the opportunities and possibilities that exist in this dynamic field,” he said in his statement, Saturday, October 28, 2023.

According to Dedy, the educational program took place throughout the month of November. This is related to Indonesian Sales Day or HARSINDO which is celebrated every 11th of the eleventh month, which was previously the birth date of the Indonesian Sales Community.

Dedy said that this program brings together experienced professionals in the field of sales and marketing who are members of the SDI and the Commission to teach in schools and share their experiences with students of professional high schools specializing in Marketing, Agmari members. “This program serves as a platform for students to gain new perspectives and updated knowledge about the world of sales and marketing from professionals who have been successful in their fields,” she said.

Vocational teaching is implemented in six provinces. In detail, in Banten there are 11 vocational schools, DKI Jakarta 35 vocational schools, Central Java 21 vocational schools, DI Yogyakarta 19 vocational schools, East Java 22 vocational schools and West Java 5 vocational schools.

“There are three main topics during the program, namely Sales Strategy, Personal Branding and Sales & Technology,” said Rina Finanty, General President of Agmari.

Commission President Indra Hadiwijaja said he asked members of his community spread across Indonesia to play an active role as professional resources with a professional approach. “One of the goals of this program is to share experiences through teaching professionals,” he said.

The hope, Indra said, is that students will have a positive mindset and strong determination to take on future challenges after having the opportunity to learn from direct professionals who have succeeded. “This is also in line with the program of the Commission, especially the Professional Division, where it is very important to present the sales profession as a professional choice that makes one proud and confidently maintains the status of a salesperson,” he said.
