Boyolali (MidLand) – President Joko Widodo (Jokowi) distributed a cow as a sacrificial animal at Raudlatul Maarif (Ponpes) Islamic College in Sendanglo Village, Temon Village, Simo District, Boyolali Regency, Central Java.
The president’s sacrificial cow was handed over by presidential staff Edun Rusmawan to officials of the Raudlatul Maarif Islamic boarding school on Sunday.
Edun Rusmawan said he received the mandate to distribute a cow as a sacrificial animal from the president at the Raudlatul Maarif Islamic boarding school in Boyolali regency.
“This is the first time we have delivered cows for sacrificial animals to Raudlatul Maarif Islamic College in Sendanglo hamlet, Temon village, Simo district, Boyolali regency,” he said.
Meanwhile, Raudlatul Maarif Islamic College Sacrifice Committee Chairman Muhamad Qowiyul Aziz said he was grateful to receive assistance for sacrificial animals in the form of a cow from President Jako Widodo.
This President’s assistance is the third time since 2022 and this time the cow weighs around 845 kg.
“The President plans to slaughter a cow for sacrifice on Wednesday (19/6) for the residents of Temon village,” he said.
Meanwhile, the head of the animal health division of the Boyolali Livestock and Fisheries Service (Disnakkan), Drh Afany Rifdania, said his party had checked the health status of the president’s sacrificial cow.
“The cow’s health has been checked and a recommendation has been made for its entry,” he said.
According to him, the Ongole crossbreed sacrificial cattle were imported from farmers of Cabean Hamlet, Pandeyan village, Tasikmadu district, Karanganyar regency.
