The bouquets arrived one by one at the deceased’s funeral home at Prof. Salim Said in Jalan Redaksi, PWI Complex, Cipinang, Jakarta, from Saturday evening to early Sunday morning.
Several bouquets of flowers were placed in a row in front and at the side of the deceased’s residence starting Sunday at 01:00 WIB, including from Defense Minister/President-elect Prabowo Subianto, Anies Baswedan, president of the Indonesian Regional Representative Council ( DPD). Mourners did not stop coming to the residence of the deceased to express their condolences and offer funeral prayers. Most of the mourners were family members, neighbors, colleagues and close relatives. On Sunday at 01.17 WIB the mourners began to stop coming.
However, the family invites anyone to come and mourn at the funeral home until Sunday afternoon, because around 12.00 WIB, the body will be taken to the mosque near the residence, then to the Tanah Kusir TPU in South Jakarta for burial.
“We invite anyone who wants to cry to pray for him. “We are open to receiving mourners,” said a family representative, the deceased’s nephew.
