Jakarta (MidLand) – The head of the Criminal Investigation Unit (Kasat Reskrim) of the North Jakarta Metropolitan Police, AKBP Hady Siagian, said that investigators had called witnesses from the family of the pregnant female victim with the initials RN (34) who died in Kelapa Gading Saturday (20/4).
“We call witnesses from the families of the suspects and victims of Lampung to reveal this case,” AKBP Hady Siagian said in Jakarta on Tuesday.
According to him, only one suspect has currently been arrested, that is, a man with the initials A (27) and the number of suspects could increase.
“I don’t know if she bought her medicine or went to a traditional midwife, for example to have an abortion,” she said
According to him, the victim’s estimated gestational age is around four months and the two had only been in Jakarta for four days.
They cannot yet confirm that the child the victim is carrying is the perpetrator’s child.
“We are still waiting for the lab results and if the fetus is not her child, we are also wrong, so wait until everything is complete and wait,” she said.
Officers are still investigating the case because, according to the information obtained, the victim and the perpetrator came to Jakarta to hide their relationship with the family.
He said the results of the center’s forensic laboratory would be revealed to the public.
“The results of the Puslabfor exam must be detailed and take time, about one to two weeks,” he said.
The pregnant woman with initials RN (34), who died covered in blood on Saturday (20/4) in Jalan Boulevard Raya Kelapa Gading, was suspected of haemorrhage while the offender with initials A (27) did not help the victim .
“This victim suffered hemorrhage which resulted in death,” North Jakarta Metropolitan Police Chief Commissioner Pol Gidion Arif Setyawan said at a news conference in Jakarta on Tuesday.
He said the bleeding was the result of an attempt to abort the victim’s pregnancy.
According to him, the attack was carried out from Lampung with the perpetrator with the initials A (27) until he arrived north of Jakarta.
“So the attempted abortion started in Lampung and then the bleeding occurred all the way to this place,” he said.
