Police distribute hundreds of rice in the slums of Cipinang
Jakarta (MidLand) – East Jakarta Metropolitan Police distributed 300 boxes of rice on Thursday to residents living in the slums of Jalan Cipinang Bali RT 14/RW 03 Cipinang Melayu Village, Makasar District, East Jakarta.
“Activities like this are a concrete manifestation of the police’s approach and concern in providing excellent service to the community,” Makasar Police Chief Commissioner Rusit Malaka said in Jakarta on Thursday.
Rusit hopes that this free rice assistance will ease some of the burden on the community.
“This activity is normally carried out with distribution locations moving from one location to another. We hope it can be useful and reduce the burden on the community,” he said.
According to him, it is hoped that a positive collaboration between the police and the community can strengthen bonds of solidarity by creating a safe and harmonious environment.
RW 03 President Lukman expressed his gratitude to the National Police for providing boxes of rice to the underprivileged people. “We hope this activity continues because it is very beneficial to the community,” he said.
