Jakarta (MidLand) – Polda Metro Jaya arrested three suspects in the case of the discovery of the body of a woman with the initials R (35) in Seribu Islands on Saturday (13/4).
Polda Metro Jaya Public Relations Chief Commissioner Pol Ade Ary Syam Indradi confirmed the arrest of the three suspects on Friday.
“It’s true (several people were arrested),” he said.
However, the former South Jakarta Metropolitan Police chief did not provide details on the identity of the suspects, including the cause of the victim’s death.
Meanwhile, Jatanras Ditreskrimum Polda Metro Jaya AKBP sub-directorate head Rovan Richard Mahenu explained that two of the three offenders were the victim’s boyfriend.
“Two people are the victim’s girlfriend and one is the victim’s client,” he said.
Rovan further explained that, based on the results of the investigation, the victim worked in the world of prostitution and did so often open BO (booking out) and accompanied by one of the victim’s friends.
For information, earlier the body of a woman was found at Ujung Pier of Pari Island, Seribu Islands, on Saturday (13/4) around 4.50pm WIB by local residents.
Then the residents reported the matter to the local police and the police immediately evacuated the victim’s body and took it to the Kramat Jati Central Police Hospital for an autopsy that would reveal the cause of death.
Thousand Islands Police Chief, AKBP Jarot Sungkowo, in his written statement explained that the identification of the victim and the items found were as follows: Female; she wears a yellow necklace, a pendant and earrings on her left and right ears with a butterfly pattern; she wear long blue jeans with a long-sleeved, button-down black shirt; she wears false teeth, estimated age 30 years or less, height approximately 160 centimeters; white and no identification was found.
