Polda Metro Jaya sent hundreds of people to two churches during Easter
Jakarta (MidLand) – Polda Metro Jaya has deployed 197 personnel to provide security during Easter Sunday (31/3) in two churches in Jakarta, namely the Cathedral Church and Immanuel West Indonesian Protestant Church (GPIB).
“197 staff members from Polda Metro Jaya and Polres Central Jakarta have been alerted,” Polda Metro Jaya Kombes Pol Ade Ary Syam Indradi public relations head said on Thursday after the confirmation in Jakarta.
Ade Ary stressed that the public need not worry about their activities because officers at all levels will be on standby round the clock.
The former South Jakarta Metropolitan Police chief also asked police personnel to work with the community to create a public order and security situation (kamtibmas).
“The Metro Jaya Regional Police Chief reminded all ranks not to ‘underestimate’ and continue policing,” he said.
“Of course, synergy and cooperation with all parties so that the security and social security situation can be more optimal and more favorable,” he said.
