Perbasi has named Aras Gading Muda as the training venue for the 1.97m tall boy
In a written statement received in Jakarta on Thursday, PP Perbasi general president Danny Kosasih revealed that there were several reasons why the club had been chosen as the training ground for Sagil, who had just been “picked up” from his place of origin in Belui village, Depatu Tujuh district, Kerinci regency, Jambi.
“Aras Gading Muda also managed to win the champion title in the KU-17 national club championship on April 15-20 in Bogor,” Danny said during the announcement of Sagil as a candidate to become the future Indonesian basketball player.

He further revealed that the first reason for appointing AGM as a training venue was because the club had a good level of development at multiple levels.
Then the next reason is because the club has a clear spread or program to take part in the competition.
Then, Danny added, the last reason is because the club’s training results are measurable and meet the coaches’ standards.
Sagil, who was accompanied by his parents, said he was very happy to have been given the opportunity by Perbasi to become a potential player who could make Indonesia proud in the future.
“I am certainly happy with this situation. I will fight hard to make Indonesia proud through basketball,” he said.

Sagil Muhammad Rizky, still young, has become a hot topic of conversation among Indonesian basketball fans, because he is much taller than the average of his peers.
Faced with this fact, PP Perbasi moved quickly and did not remain silent.
They quickly recruited the boy to his hometown to train him and prepare him to become a national basketball athlete.
Perbasi believes that if his special qualities are developed to the maximum, Sagil can become a key player for the Indonesian national basketball team in the future.
