Banjar, South Kalimantan (MidLand) – President of the Ombudsman of the Republic of Indonesia (ORI) Mokhamad Najih visited the office of Indrasari Integrated Services Village, Martapura District, Banjar Regency, South Kalimantan because it is an example of village against bad administration.
Banjar Acting Regent Akhmad Fydayeen accompanied by Banjar Regency Inspector M Riza Dauly, Head of Community Empowerment Service of Syahrialuddin Village, welcomed the ORI President at Martapura on Friday.
“This visit is an honor and motivation for us to continue developing the village, and as a village against maladministration, it becomes a true example of how village governance should be run,” Fydayeen said.
According to Fydayeen, the village government is managed by prioritizing integrity and accountability, and it is the first and main model in Indonesia, and it is very beneficial to the community.
Indonesian Ombudsman Chairman Mokhammad Najih stressed that the existence of an anti-maladministration village is a concrete manifestation of the regional government’s presence in the community so that it can prevent various frauds.
“We can see first-hand the practice of village development against maladministration and hopefully this can be replicated at the national level to promote good, clean and useful village governance,” he said.
Najih hopes that the village government’s program will add value to all officials and receive attention from the Banjar Regency government to continue to increase efforts to develop public services.
The ORI President’s visit included an explanation by Pambakal/Indrasari Village Chief Amat Yani about the services of the Indrasari Village Office, followed by a dialogue and Q&A led by the Chief Representative of the Indonesian Ombudsman for South Kalimantan, Hadi Rahman.
The ORI President concluded his visit by inspecting the premises and service facilities at the Indrasari village office which are used to cater to the various needs of the community, especially those relating to public services.
