MOSCOW (MidLand) – Two gunmen opened fire on a group of people at a bus terminal in the US city of Philadelphia, leaving one person dead and four others injured, local police said on Tuesday.
“There was a group of teenagers waiting to get on the bus behind me. We can say, based on the evidence we have so far, that two people showed up and started shooting,” the police commissioner said. Philadelphia Kevin Bethel at a press conference broadcast on CBS Philadelphia.
“Following the shooting – several bullets were fired – we found five people killed,” he continued.
A 17-year-old man died following the attack, the commissioner said.
Meanwhile, two women, ages 49 and 71, were killed while on the bus, but both women are now in stable condition, Bethel said, adding that the bus’s windows appeared to slow the speed of the bullets.
Meanwhile, two other teenagers were injured after being shot.
The two killers fled the scene, Bethel said, while local police launched an investigation into the incident.
